This weekend I was able to go to San Marcos and shop with my mom and sister, Katelyn. I picked up some fabulous buys! And there wasn't very much "hunting" involved! It was just our luck! And for some crazy reason, I'm sure God only knows, I am just full of happiness! I feel like I'm running over with it! I love the fact that happiness is soooo contagious! It just makes you want to reach out and hug everyone else so they can get on the happy train too! I have always known my calling was to teach. I absolutely love teaching! BUT, I am not loving the way the education in Texas is going. That's okay though. Children are only children. If they make one little success and make some sort of progress, I will count that as a WIN! I will continue to be the best teacher I can be, regardless of the system put into place by people that have no REAL idea what teachers or students really go through.
And I've started a new journey with helping people be the best, healthiest person they can be! I want people to BELIEVE in themselves and push themselves to do things they never knew they could! I want them to be a better version of themselves, as someone once told me. I like the way that's put. I love teaching and helping others. The reward is already there!
Have a WILDY happy week!

Coffee Table...yes I said COFFEE TABLE
So I love this particular site, where two sisters make furniture, crafts and other goodies which mimic lovelies from Restoration HardWare and PotteryBarn! I LOVE it!
I am a crafty person by nature...thanks to my mama and my Mimi! My mom use to set up her craft booth at First Monday in our hometown every month! Never knew how she found time to do something she loved with three crazy girls and work...but that's why we call her MOTHER :)
Here is my coffee table that my husband and I made...we did equal parts. +Brock Hargrove
Primed it with a can of spray primer! Easy peasy!
Spray painted it an aqua blue! There were two different ones...I went with the brighter of the two
And then I sprayed a clear, matte polyurethane! Lovely!

Then my next project was a Jenny Lind highchair for Race. It turned out beautifully! I plan on taking his picture in it for his invitations to his 1st Birthday Party! <3
Sanded it...wanted to get the shine off

Goals
Today is the day that probably every person on the planet has made a resolution or goal of some sort. Some may not admit it...some may say goals are stupid. They are not. Goals are powerful. They are what drive the successful beings and they are what motivate you to keep on trucking when you feel like giving up. They are purpose. Today I will write out my goals for 2014. Goals can change and adapt depending on what curve ball life throws you. And while I write out my goals, I must remember my over-all purpose on Earth and stay true to who I am.
1. Be more aware of my spending! My husband tells me every time I open my mouth I say "I want," haha! I am a very impulsive buyer and it's never on cheap stuff! I have been wanting to move into a new house for years now. I am tired of being his excuse for us not (lol)! So less spending!
2. I want to have a more flexible life style. I want to spend more time with my son, Race. No, I do not want to be a stay at home mom, but I would like to spend more of my days in a week with him, versus just a few hours a day :(.
3. Watch my language. It can be fowl sometimes. I blame this on waiting tables.
4. Hold myself more accountable with my workouts and eating. I am small framed and have always been fit. Since having Race, 10 months ago, I have lost all and then some of my baby weight...I need to tone bake up though and with Race, it is hard to find time. Plus, he's a great excuse :).
What will be your goals for this brand new year?
